Store fixtures are a great way to display your goods. Whether you’re selling oddities or rubies and emeralds, you need to show them off somehow. Streamline showcases do just that –they allow you to display your product clearly and effectively.
Historically, it was necessary to protect curios with a glass showcase from animals and vermin that posed a threat. Museums also began to use the glass showcase to protect their more valuable items. Eventually, when glass became less expensive, the glass showcase became a way for a family to highlight their own living room treasures. Today, the showcase is a staple for most merchants because it instills a sense of quality and preciousness in what is sold.
While this is most obvious in the case of the jewelry showcase, it works on a simpler level. When you enter many small flower shops, you may pay for your bouquet at a glass counter, which if you look below, has a permanent display inside. This is a way to garner your appreciation and attention to class – the glass removes you from the item and the merchant and you feel as though they are more precious because of their inaccessibility and removal.
To create the same feeling in your customers for your products, choose a Streamline showcase today.

Here at the Sturdy Store Displays blog, we’d like to share some of the well-known advantages of using retail display cases:
The main advantage is organization. Who wants to walk into a store where everything is out of place, giving the impression the employee and management are as discombobulated and disorganized as the messy store in front of them? A major aspect of sales is appearances, and a display case can assist in that aspect.
After all, research shows 70% of purchase selections are made in the retail market. Why not do everything in your power to ensure your customers have a stress-free shopping experience with a visual appealing display case? Get rid of the clutter, get rid of the embarrassment of disorganization and help your customers do what they do best: Buy Stuff!
Additionally, a sturdy store display showcase will not only exhibit your products in a visually appealing and organized manner, it will also keep them safe from greasy hands, butterfingers, and most importantly of all, shoplifters.
Many marketing researcher studies have concluded that a retail display can be directly credited with increasing product sales. Over 60% of total in-store purchases are directly linked solely to the display case as the chief promotional element.
So help your business flourish by getting yourself a beautiful, organized glass display showcase.

I was recently at my old High School for a class reunion. I’m not going to tell you which reunion it was or what year we graduated, in hopes of convincing you all (as well as myself) that I’m much younger than I actually am.
What stood out to me the most, however (besides how gorgeous the girl I once had a crush on still looked, and how fat my former basketball teammates had gotten) was seeing our old basketball trophies still on display behind a gorgeous glass showcase.
In truth, I can’t even remember the last time I picked up a basketball. I remember my son beating me in a game of one-on-one a few years back, but besides that I honestly haven’t the slightest clue. But to see the old trophy in that showcase was a truly remarkable experience.
Not only did it bring back all the glorious memories, the competitive battles, the hard work, the camaraderie we felt not only as teammates but between us and the entire student body, but seeing that old trophy reminded me that even though it’s been many long years since I was in High School, my accomplishments were still on display.
It’s possible all the time away has glorified my memory. In fact, it’s probably more likely than not. But still, I can’t pay true tribute to the thrill I got when I glanced upon our old championship trophy up on display in the old school glass showcase.

Sometimes it only happens the first time you’re there. Sometiems it happens everytime you’re there. But whatever the occasion, it has happened to every guy: that feeling of being completely and utterly lsot and confused as you stand above that diamond jewelry showcase display and realize you have no idea what you’re really looking for.
So, here’s the four main factors to consider when buying a diamond:
Color:
What, you didn’t know diamonds could be different colors? The range isn’t that extended, admittedly, only going from colorless to a very, very light yellow. However, pretending there’s no difference at all is little more than ignorant.
Cut:
You want that baby to sparkle? Then you need to concern yourself with the cut. The better the cut-proportions, the most light the diamond will reflect throughout.
Carat:
Most everyone is familiar with the term, though very few know what it actually means. A diamond’s weight is measured in caracts, and it is the most important factor in diamond value. That’s not saying two diamonds with the same number of carats are automatically worth the same, but it’s the biggest factor when trying to figure out how much they should rightfully cost.
Just a few things to ponder as you stand lost and confused above those sturdy store displays filled with diamonds.

Some companies slack off in the summer months, letting the languid dog days lull them into boring store displays, saving their energy for “Back To School” September.
We know how it is to want a vacation, and to each his own, but we are delighted and inspired by shops that invest creative energy in summer store displays.
I mean, we love summer, and we love store displays, so how are we not going to love the combination of the two?
Here’s an example of a fantastic summer store display we came across from the folks at Free People, inspired by a visit one of the designers had taken to India.

How cool is that? We hope it inspires you to have a little fun with your own summer store displays.

Store fixtures are a really great way to organize your store. A well-organized store front is essential to increasing sales because it strategically directs the customer’s eye to your merchandise thus making them more likely to buy it.
-If you already have your store fixtures, you’re going to want to arrange them in an attractive manner that makes it easy to navigate through. Corner display cases are really handy to have when it comes to getting the maximum amount of merchandise in a smaller area that doesn’t get in the way of customers.
-A good rule of thumb for store fixtures is to place the most commonly sold items, or the items that everyone wants most, in the back of the store. High end items, or the items that you would like to see sold more, but rarely get much attention because of their price tag would fare well near the middle of the store. New items, or smaller items can be placed in the front as a means to show them off to arriving customers.
-When grouping items together, try putting the items that could be sold together near each other. For instance, if you’re trying to sell gold necklaces, you should have a corresponding display case nearby that showcases charms, pendants or even bracelets. The cash register area should always have items to capitalize on the impulse buys.

One of the biggest ways to sell merchandise is to put it in the spotlight, literally! Studies have shown that a good commercial lighting system can really enhance the moods of employees and customers. And as anyone can testify, it’s much easier to shop when you’re in a good mood. Proper lighting is especially important when you’re selling jewelry or other fine merchandise that are in retail display cases. Because the customer can’t pick up the item and examine the details that make it so special, there needs to be enough light to bring out these little details from behind the glass. So think of your lighting in the display cases as another sales person. You want it to go above and beyond the normal job description—display case lighting needs be top notch and to really sell the product.
If you’re ready to upgrade your jewelry showcase light fixtures, look no further than the Probeam LED Light Bar. This sphere shaped aluminum fixture is all about versatility as it swivels to many angles so any piece can be in the spotlight. They are durable as well. ProBeam Light Bars have an average life span of 50,000 hours, so you know you’re getting a light fixture that will last.

Having a safe, yet easy to access place for merchandise is essential to the efficiency of your business. Especially if the merchandise is something that sells well and needs to be restocked quickly. Unfortunately for many small retailers, storage space can be a bit of an issue. So what do you do when the size of your storage capacity just can’t hold the amount of stock you have to keep around? The answer is, get creative. And the best way to do that in retail environments is to really put those store fixtures and sturdy store displays to use. In addition to the space in the cases themselves, many story displays have additional storage behind the counter.

For instance, the Half Vision Showcases at SturdyStoreDisplays.com have a 10” deep shelf and a storage area behind the counter that is open. This open space leaves all kinds of room for organization and merchandise storage. You can opt for drawers (two or four) and then further compartmentalize as you see fit. Besides behind the counter, you can always be creative with the ways you display your merchandise in the display cases themselves. Remember that you should avoid cluttering up the items while still arranging them in ways take up the least amount of space.
Whatever you decide to do, your merchandise is sure to look it’s best if you’re showing it off in a sturdy store display.

As we mentioned in our previous posts, using a retail display is absolutely crucial to presenting your product in an attractive, sell-able way. Jewelry and high-end items that warrant the protection of a glass showcase require these glass sturdy store displays not only for their protection, but for proper marketing. Unlike clothing, food, and other items that people find are essential, fine jewelry and similar luxury items require a lot more savvy sales skills and visual marketing.
That’s why it’s important that any jewelry showroom not only utilizes the jewelry showcase, but presents the merchandise inside in clear, attractive ways. Your showcases should shine and sparkle just like the beautiful jewelry you’re trying to sell. Dusting and polishing the cases should be constant. Fingers are constantly touching the glass and smudging the cases so invest in a polishing cloth and glass cleaner.
In addition to cleanliness, the arrangements in the cases are also essential to you making a sale. If you are able, get creative with the arrangements. Don’t crowd the merchandise inside the cases. Each piece should be able to shown independently from the others. If you find that your merchandise is getting crowded in the cases, invest in another case to ensure that each piece is visible and able to shine.
